Chas

Chas is a government accredited Health and Safety assessment scheme. This scheme allows the RSL system to be utilised on local and national government contracts. The Local Government Association, Trades Union Congress and the Institution of Occupational Health (IOSH) have formally endorsed the scheme. The Chas scheme fits squarely into the procurement agenda where the public sector uses their position as clients in assessing health and safety capabilities and competence of contractors wishing to work for them. RSL believe this is an excellent scheme and think it will work as an effective tool in enhancing the performance of health and safety.

Cavity Closers Clause

Install cavity closers incorporating integral shutter guides from RSL (Bristol) Ltd. (tel: 01823 352308).

Closers to be tied between wall skins using RSL proprietary ties supplied with the closers (min. 1no. tie per skin per block course). Ensure shutter channel is set against inside of outer leaf (if shutters to be outside windows) or set against outside of inner leaf (if shutters to be inside windows).

Lintels Clause

Install powder coated treated steel lintels from RSL (Bristol) Ltd. (tel: 01823 352308), fully in accordance with RSL's method statement.

Shutters Clause

In-built shutters to be supplied (and installed as part of the supply package) by RSL (Bristol) Ltd. (tel: 01823 352308) - utilizing the RSL closers and lintels. It is a design requirement that the shutters be set into the lintel so as to be concealed when not in use.
